老公在德国工作，我去德国用探亲签，在申请时候写“旅行期间费用由申请人自己承担”（和我自己的单位在职证明内容一致），和邀请方（我老公）提供全部住宿（有经济担保函和住房证明），这两件事矛盾吗？

不矛盾，这么写是对的，但如果在职证明写上We understand that the XXX company, which is the employer of the applicant's spouse, is supporting applicant's accommodation during her stay in Germany. 就更好了。
旅行期间的费用是多方面的，住宿只是其一，你可以这样写的。
