个人建议4天时间不要跑去湖区和爱丁堡，伦敦和伦敦周边、南部海岸等 逛逛也不会觉得4天多。

actually it is very easy, buy it, and ask the station to stamp it before your first trip, then show the pass to the staff when required. You fill the date yourself I remember.

but if you have only a few days before your trip and you have not purchased it yet, probably you d better not to buy it in order to avoid disappointment.

十分感谢！伦敦呆3天，牛津剑桥各一天，剩下4天时间，都是爱丁堡值得一去，不过时间有限，看来高地是不能成行了。
