准备4月底带儿子去LA看望老婆并字驾游,已通过DOLLAR网站订好车.但听说美国小孩坐车要配儿童座椅,不知是不是必须的?警察会查吗?我儿子6岁.请大家指教,多谢!

California state law requires children to ride in a federally approved baby car seat or child booster seat until they are at least 6 years old or weigh at least 60 pounds. California also requires children under age 16 to be buckled up with a seat belt.
