2015圣诞假期10日行程求建议

My boyfriend and I have about 10 days vacation during Christmas and need advice where to travel to (we currently live in Canada). A few things to note:
1) We both have been to Europe and Asia a few times so it's not top of list
2) Want to go somewhere with rich history, culture and nature- South America is now our top destination but which country? He has been to Peru only but I have not been anywhere in South America.
