I remember that in the past, if you bring back the GBP cash to Chinese banks (with the receipt), you can get RMB refund at the same exchange rate (if it is within 90 days of transaction). Not quite sure whether this is the case now.

这个真的很难估算。一般在外面开销无非就是：住宿、交通、门票，吃饭、购物 这几个方面。
我和儿子在英国19天，换了1500，还没花完，后来买东西用现钞，刷卡妥妥的
我们十天带了50英镑都没花完，餐厅，超市，地铁买票都可以刷卡。
不必多换，刷卡方便的，餐厅吃，超市买都可刷。
