茂宜岛 Dollar 租车驾照问题？

在expedia.com.hk订了14年3月三天车，发现最后是转dollar Uk上订的。今天顺便问了一下dollar uk驾照的事情：I only have a chinese driver licence and a translated document , no International Driving Licence (IDL) , can I get the car in Kahului - Airport Int .结果回答：Unfortunately, the supplier will not accept your situation, for your driving license is not written in Latin alphabet and no translations are allowed. 这下郁闷了，不知道最近有朋友在茂宜岛的dollar租过车的么？情况怎样啊？ 现在退订，都要损失部分预订款了，郁闷啊～

问他有没有别的什么办法，又回复：In this case, please contact the authorities in your country, as we do not have any information related to this issue. Unfortunately, no supplier we work with will accept neither a Chinese license, nor a translation.
各位到夏威夷自驾的朋友一定要注意，中国驾照在夏威夷是无效证件的，租车公司不会管你驾照是哪里的，只要你交钱买保险就行，但是千万别让警察抓住，注意安全
