在美国F1学生申请申根签证，问问回程的美国签证

请问一下，在美国申请申根签证对回美国的签证有效期怎么规定的？丹麦使馆说要美国签证在预订离开丹麦日期3个月之内都有效：
A valid U.S. Resident Alien Card (copies or notarized copies are not acceptable) or a valid U.S. visa (including the I-94 or I-94W form). Students should present a valid I-20. Exchange visitors should present a valid IAP-66. If returning to the U.S. the residence permit/visa must be valid for at least three months exceeding the last day of the intended stay in Denmark/Schengen.
但是荷兰使馆没说3个月，说要有有效的前往下一个国家的签证。
Visa, residence permit, or passport to enter the next country after visiting the Schengen area.
我的美国签证1月份过期了，我打算12月底回美国，大家看看行不行。
