This is called Direct Airside Transit.

Any dependants under 16 years old, included on your passport, can be included on the same form, but those older will need to fill in separate forms.

按照英国政府网站上的要求是不需要的，只要你有EEA的residence permit或者是d－visa，然后在同一机场内转机，不超过24小时,就不需要transit visa
不过没有试过，也不敢肯定，听说过有人回国的时候没有问题，可是回欧洲的时候有被拒绝登机的情况。

持中国护照就需要签证，

如果要在英国转机一定要有过境签证。
我买从爱尔兰飞埃及的机票时售票的小姐特意和我强调过这一点。
