求助：人在美国西雅图想签欧洲

我在美国西雅图上学，目前放假人在国内，我想年底的时候一个人去一躺欧洲（主要是意大利德国以及周边），因为没有去过所以很多方面不太清楚，想要咨询以下几个问题：
1，西雅图有没有欧盟国家的大使馆呢，没有的话哪里有呢？越近越好，我朋友签法国都跑旧金山去了，我没有那么多钱跑那么远啊。。。。
2，需要准备什么材料呢？
3，整个申请过程需要多久？什么时候开始申请比较合适？

**usually**, you need to have a valid US visa when applying for those european visas.
I don't think there's any consulate general in Seattle area. You can mail your documents to those in LAX or SFO. Some of the countries allow 3rd party representatives in visa application. You can go to the consulate website to get the materials you need. I just get my Finland visa, which takes about 6 days, including the mailing.
