有在美国芝加哥法领馆签过的朋友吗

不住在芝加哥，不知道要不要预约（在网上查不到，电话死活也没有人接），会当时给签证吗？还是要等？不想把护照寄来寄去，如果丢了，连国也回不了。希望有经验的朋友指点，多谢！

自己找到一个（转）不过不知道是不是最近的事，仅供参考^_^

1. Walk-in 立等可取。They didn't answer any of my phone calls and email, but
the walk-in application was nice and easy.
2. The French Consulate is located at the north-east corner of the
intersection of Lake and N Michagan, a dark looking building with a CVS at its
ground floor.
3. Need to follow all the document requirements on its web site. If you do,
the visa application is pretty straightforward. I was not asked even one
question.
4. I requested 1 entry valid for 20 days and was given multiple with half a
year time.
