英国（Britain）全称为大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国（United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland）。又俗称为英伦三岛（British Islands），包括大不列颠岛上的英格兰（England）、威尔士（Wales）、苏格兰（Scotland）和爱尔兰岛东北部的北爱尔兰（Northern Ireland）以及皇家属地的“三岛”——泽西岛（Jersey）、古尔西岛（Guersey）及曼岛（Isle of Man）。
