结合游四海旅游网的知识，已经订了湖区的B&B，这家很好，不需要预定费，第二天就给我回复。每晚78镑，不过，小孩子一起入住，还要另收收半价。
都说约克的青年旅馆很好，我有幸也订了个家庭房，60镑每晚。
本想还要去爱丁堡的，但是看到宾馆的价格都太吓人了，有点不想去爱丁堡了。八月份刚好是狂欢节，象我们这样过去，可能也无法融入当地的喜庆环境中，所以想到国内人多的场面，还是决定不想凑热闹去了。但又觉得会不会遗憾呢？
好象八月去玩，宾馆都很紧张。会不会火车票也会紧张呢？我还想淘便宜票呢。

The price DOES vary a lot in price for a kid! PAYG Oyster card doesn't have child version, as children are travel FREE on TFL.

your first question can be answered by tfl.gov.uk
usually you can ask to change the name. but i do not think it matters much, seldom of them ask for passport or other identifications
