Urgent: 景观列车 and their speciality??

What are the differences between 景观列车 (like Glacier Express and Golden Pass) and the regular train from one city to the others if I seat at the window? including route, frequency, duration, pass, reservation and price. Thank.


Also please help take a look at my preliminary plan using 3 day Swiss flex pass, your suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated:


(Day 1) Oct 2 8, arrive Geneva airport. Use Day 1 from the Flex pass: visit the city of Geneva. How long it may take? could I visit other places before arriving Lausanne at 4 for business? (Night stay in Lausanne).


Oct 3 conference in Lausanne (including boating in Geneva lake). (Night stay in Lausanne)


Oct 4 conference in Lausanne. (Night stay in Laussane).

In the late afternoon after the conference (after 5pm), can I take the short chocolate train (when is the last train? need to reserve in advance?) or visit Lausanne nearby cities (half-price by showing the Flex pass). Any suggestions?


Oct 5 Use Day 2 from the Flex Pass: Glacier Express 雪朗峰 or 少女峰 . then go to Liechtenstein for the stamps and a picture of the Rhine River. Back to Zurich and take 黄金线 to Lausanne . Night stay in Lausanne (business reserved).

Question 1: which is better 雪朗峰 or 少女峰 in early October?

Question 2: is 雪朗峰 or 少女峰 on the way of Glacier Express?

Question 3: need heavy coat (YU RONG FU)?


Oct 6 Use Day 3 from the Flex Pass: Bern, Interlaken, Lucern, then to Lugano--Chiasso (border city in Switzerland site). Transfer Italy train to Malino. (Night stay in Milano).

Question 1: Can I send luggage from Lausanne station directly to the border station at Chiasso and pickk it up when I arrive in the evening?

Question 2: Save money by getting to the border city with the last day Flex pass. Can I have discount on the trans-border train to Milano by showing the Swiss Flex Pass?


Oct 7 brief visit Milano, head for Julie's hometown on the way to Venice (Night stay in Venice)

Oct 8 visit Venice (Night stay in Venice)

Oct 9 7am depart from Macro Polo airport (any suggestion on family hotels that is convenient to the airport?)
