想在美国买个IPHONE,如果不加入AT&T可以吗?

It can be hard. Generally AT&T will ask you to sign up a 2-year contract.

But you can buy it from other sources and unlock it to use in China.

I personally do not think it is worth it since, without the service from AT&T, it is just a very expensive iTouch. And you will lost the warranty by unlocking it.

Also, just FYI on the new 3G iPhone.

"Two new models of iPhones go on sale July 11 for $199 and $299, depending on the amount of memory, with two-year AT&T contracts. The no-contract versions will cost $599 and $699 and will be sold sometime "in the future," AT&T said. Buyers would then go month-to-month on AT&T's service. AT&T said the no-contract phones would be "locked" to work only on AT&T's network, as the contract-laden phones will be."

iphone很cool，但个人感觉是并不好用：

- 短信的功能都比较麻烦，特别是转发和群发（要另外下载软件）

- 没彩信功能

- 相机只有200万像素，不能变焦，快门速度很慢

- 在国内刷过后感觉很不稳定

- 耳机质量不好，我用了才没多久，就开始开裂。单买一个耳机很贵，而普通耳机没有通话功能，不知道能不能配到其他品牌适用的带话筒的耳机。

非3G的，以前在ATT可以直接买裸机，后来不卖了。但你仍然可以去apple store买裸机，然后拿回国很多地方都能改，大概RMB200块就行。如果你不嫌麻烦，自己也可以弄。我给国内的朋友带过2个，都没有问题。

3G的，上面有长老贴了，好像可以单卖，就是比较贵了。

五月底回国的时候准备买几个带给亲友，结果applestore 都都没货，说是存货都被AT&T囤起来了。又跑了若干个AT&T店，结果不签合同都不卖。 结果空手而归。不知道现在情况怎么样了。。

昨天听上海的朋友说， 3G iphone已经在上海有卖了， 售价9000左右，而且iphone都快变成街机了。

到底是美国富有，还是中国富有啊， 看不懂。。。。

应该可以的，我有个朋友买了，但是不是用的At&T。她说她找人改了，以后还可以拿回国用的。不过我不知道具体怎么操作，有待其他长老回答了。

我也想知道这个问题，无数同事要求帮带个回来，不过估计带得多了，是否过海关比较麻烦？
