not sure if any friend here had similar experience to share but I'm in such a hurry and so confused by the unorganized websites of both Houston and NYC consulates ----it's very difficult to find consistent information there!
My passport will expire in March 2008. I live in Atlanta GA but will be in NYC from 7/4 to 7/8. I understand we need to appear in person to get the passport renewed/changed from 2007. The question is, geographically GA falls under Houston Consulate office but since I'll be in NYC, I don't know if I can just go to the Consulate General there and submit my application -- thus can save me much time and money. The personnel in Houston Office seemed not sure about this and asked me to contact NYC office directly, but I couldn't reach them by either email or phone number. In addition, I couldn't find any clear information regarding whether they provide mail-back service to renewed passport.
Help please!!

can I write the hostel's address then? Maybe I should order an express service so I can get my passport before I leave NYC..

换发护照不是很麻烦，也可以加急，第二天就可以拿到了，但是要先把表格、复印件等准备好。
